Just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful day we had on the 5th June!

We had such a brilliant time – the food was super – so many people commented and the service was amazing, no surprises there. The function room looked gorgeous, I loved it. Darren was great – loved talking to him as he always cracked a joke and made me laugh. Think he’s a bit of a charmer!

Everything with the room was perfect and I loved all the little touches, like the chocolates and wine. I was very sad to be checking out!!

Hope the residents bar barman got some well deserved rest after that night/morning, I heard he was kept busy!

You were a pleasure to deal with and thanks for all the calls you took from us and for the time you took to meet with us over the last year. It all helped make the day so relaxed.

"Dear Dave,

We would like to express our sincerest thanks for all you did in organising and ensuring the smooth running of our wedding reception on August 20th last year. You won us over when we first came to visit the hotel in January with your can-do attitude, honesty and relaxed nature. We were having a small wedding and were hoping for a venue that could offer an intimate setting, with a relaxed atmosphere as well as good food. The positivity we sensed from you and your team, coupled with the lovely hotel and its reputation for great food, encouraged us to choose the Westwood as our venue, and we weren't disappointed!

Our guests were extremely impressed by the wonderful setting and the welcome they received at the Westwood. They found the waiting staff in particular to be extremely friendly, efficient and accommodating, as we also did. They also spoke very highly of the standard of the accommodation and especially the food! We had so many good comments on the dinner! The food, which was one of our key priorities for the reception, was delicious. It really was lovely. The choice offered to our guests went down a treat! We loved the fact that your kitchen offers very different menus from the average wedding fare.

The small touches were very much valued; in particular the French waiter who ensured that our French guests were well looked-after and who announced us into the dining room in French as well as in English. It was a lovely and unexpected gesture. (It turns out he is from the same town as Jerome - small world!)

Attached is a picture of us arriving at the Westwood after the wedding ceremony. It might help you put a face to the names, given the length of time that has passed since the day itself.

Again, thank you so much Dave, and also Magda and the rest of the team, for being so kind and attentive during the preparations for our wedding and on the day itself. We wish you continued success. We have spread the good word about the Westwood, as our guests have, no doubt, and we hope to return for a nice dinner or a drink some evening to remember the special few days we spent there last summer.
